Family Caregiver Support

We want to support Kinship Caregivers! Kinship Caregivers are relatives age 55 or older, who are not the parents and are the primary caregiver, providing care to child(ren) under the age of 18.

Kinship Support Program services are available one-time per calendar year.

Eligibility Requirements

Caregivers are older relatives who are not the parents

and are the primary caregiver providing care to child(ren)under the age of 18.

Caregiver must be 55+ years of age

Caregiver must reside in Trumbull, Mahoning, Ashtabula, or Columbiana counties

The kinship caregiver must be providing full-time care, informally or formally, to a child(ren).

The child(ren) who are receiving care must be a relative.

The child(ren) must live in the same private residence of kinship caregiver.

Services May Include:

Clothing

Health Maintenance Supplies such as diapers or wipes

Mattress and Box Spring

Kinship Caregiver Resource Counseling

Other Items May Be Considered

Respite Opportunities: Free Kids Summer Camp!

Direction Home of Eastern Ohio is working with organizations across the Valley to provide respite services. Free summer camp opportunities are available to children with Kinship caregivers.
